Hi BM, so sorry you've had another asthma attack. I hope you can snuggle up warm & put this awful experience of today behind you.

Thinking of you. -xxxx-

P.S. That Doctor sounds a real ratbag!

Hi smudge , I certainly won't opt to book an appointment with him ....ever
Sorry to read all this BigMamma.... Actually, I think you should print these pages off (if you can) or copy and paste them into a word document.... then make an appointment to see this unsympathetic doctor... walk in, put the pages down in front of him... stand over him whilst he reads them and then say something like, "I do hope you are ready to apologise now" (nice and cool like)... then take a picture of his shamed face and post it for all of us on flickr or photobucket !
I've had similar reactions from one of the GP's at my surgery bigmamma.I now refuse point blank to ever go and see the GP unless my other half drags me there!.I hope you do write and complain to the surgery manager and that you get a suitable grovelling apology in return.I hope you are feeling better now.xxx

oh big how awful for u ..hope ur feeling better now xx
I know what you mean hon.

I got told off for the amount of same day appointments I had had. I would ring up and come in when they said to, they know I only work about 5 mins walk away so find it easier to fit me in.

It's not like I even asked to be seen the same day but got a telling off for it anyway...grrrr!!!

When I was having some really bad dizzies with my menieres a while back I saw one GP who told me Ihad labyrinthitis and to sort it with my meniere's meds.

It continued and ended up at the out of hours surgery where the doctor thought it might be a bacterial ear infection so said to go to GP next morning to get it checked further.

Went to see the nurse who sent me to the doctor who had a right go at me saying that because I have meniere's what the hell did I think was causing it. I pointed out what the out of hours docs had said and he made some very uncalled for and unprofessional remarks about his abilities until I pointed out one of his own GP's had made a similar diagnosis which shut him up a bit.

I also got shouted at for not taking my full dose allowance of my three different daily medications I have for it (I tailor it according to how bad it is). Weeks later another GP at the same surgery is telling me to do exactly what I was doing, take it according to how I feel.

I give up!!! Hope you're feeling better now hon :) xxx
oh that sounds disgusting, how dare he treat you in that manner!! a total bully!
I hope you are feeling better, asthma attacks are very frightening without getting an attitude from the person who is supposed to help you!!!

I would have had his guts for garters if I was with you!, I hope you are taking things easy now, dont waste your energy on this non entity!!!

Hello sleepy , and cazzz , thank you so much , I do feel much better , I have a nebulizer on loan from the hospital , and that really helps . :-)
Hello Jenna honey , oh what bad treatment and the run-around you were given . That could have been much worse if they hadn't caught the infection when they eventually did .
I don't know how a doctor can talk so nasty to a patient . I have had many years nursing under my belt and I can say not once have I ever spoken badly to any of my patients .
That's right cazzz , buly is it , if I'd been a strapping big feller would he have dared .
xxxxxx
