Boring question about heating

Dint know where to put this one, but does anyone know what the cheapest way of heating a room is, gas fire, leccy fire, halogen heater ?
Am newly single and having to watch the pennies big time !!

Then try to get your power bills quarterly, set aside funds to meet the bill when it comes, don't be tempted to use a pre-payment meter they cost a heck of alot more.
set your heating and water timer to come on for an hour 3 times aday at the moment so that throughout the day the house is able to hold the heat and you aren't running the heating for 4 hours in the evening ust to take the chill off.
keep the water hot too, saves having to heat a full tank from cold.
Lag your hot tank, check with your energy providoe about home insulation and see if u are entitled to any grants

if the thermostat is in the same room as the radiator you have an and as long as you keep all the doors to that room shut then yes it will be.
if neither of the above are the true then it will be far more expensive to only run the one rad as your boiler will be going flat out all the time and never bring the thermostat up to temp.
