Code needed for Lloytron remote to work with Proline TV

A disabled friend of mine has got a large button Lloytron remote (model A429), he needs this as he has trouble with his hands, he has a TV-DVD combi Proline (LVD 2285 WD). We have tried to manually enter codes to make the remote work with the TV, but without any success and are becoming increasingly frustrated, because this should be a fairly easy task. Has anyone got any ideas how to get the right code. Many thanks for helpful answers.

According to the blurb for this remote it has a "Code Search" button which automatically finds the TV
