Hiding eBay search

I'm buying a gift on eBay and want to know how I can clear my searches? I've tried clearing temporary internet files, but this doesn't do it!

When you type text into a search box it is stored in Autocomplete (Internet Explorer) goto
TOOLS=> INTERNET OPTIONS=> select the CONTENT tab=> AUTOCOMPLETE=> then CLEAR FORMS. And hey presto it should stop coming up in the search box, if you are using FIREFOX www.getfirefox.com which i highly recommend goto TOOLS=> OPTIONS=> PRIVACY=> SAVED FORM INFORMATION and hit CLEAR if you are using another browser then i am not sure.
