Long-haul flight with infant

My daughter will be 4 months when we fly to Australia. She has an iCandy apple pram which is a chassis and carrycot which can be separated from each other but they are both quite heavy - can I use this up until we board the plane? We can also add the car seat instead of the carrycot part and we might do this so we have a car seat to travel with but I am worried about either part being damaged in transit. Any advice?

I had the exact same worries. My son was seven weeks when we took him to the States. We decided to only take the car seat to attach to the chassis. We bought a pram holdal from 'thebabycatalogue.com' website. �14.95, reference: bw2008. Fits all prams. Definately couldn't have done without it. You can keep your pram right up until you board. When boarding ask for the special tag that basically means your items won't be mixed up with the rest of the planes luggage and will be waiting for you by the door when you exit the plane the other end.....hope that makes sense! The pram will be protected but the car seat will just have to go without a cover. Ours was fine - no damage or dirt. Hope you have a wonderful holiday. Good luck.
