could eating large amounts of peanuts trigger an allergy to them?

This would result in feeling unwell whenever you eat them, or even make you feel very tired. This is what happens when people have intolerances to wheat etc
An allergy on the other hand can be deadly, and it only takes the slightest presence of peanuts hidden in some other food to set it off.
you may be able to eat them to your heart's content until your dying day...
Scientists still can't figure out what causes people to have a peanut allergy. Some theorize that it may be from a large amount of peanut's either in-utero or as an infant, but this is a theory and as yet nothing else. you may want to read a bit about the affliction as peanuts are a very common ingredient in packaged foods.
