Does anyone know if/when Disney's The Little Mermaid will be released on DVD? I love the film but my mum threw out my video of it!! Thank you!

Disney have a very cunning marketing ploy in that they only release their 'classic' films for short periods of time, take them out of circulation for a while and then re-release them again, thus ensuring demand for the product is always high.  It drives me nuts!!

Yes you are right, ratbag. I was  told this many years ago in an  MVC store.I think  the time lapse is around 8 years or more. Also, there are never 'special offers' on Disney films, they are  always the full price.

But aren't they worth all the trouble?

Actually, you can - once in a while - get Disney DVDs and videos cheap in individual retailers' sales - watch out on play.com, for instance. But it takes a lot of patience. Personally, I think some are worth it and some aren't; Pinocchio and Aladdin are worth a dozen Hunchbacks or Peter Pans.
