What was the spoof spy series on TV in the 60's where the main character used a phone box as the entrance to the spy HQ. Name of series, name of main character and who played him please.

I seem to remember a phonebox in Get Smart - main character was Maxwell Smart (Agent 86) played by Don Adams.

amarillis, yes that was it, and didn't he used to have a sidekick, a miss moneypenny type figure.

Excellent, thanks. I have just been googling "Get Smart" and interesting to note that Mel Brooks released a film a couple of years back "Get Smart Again". Must get a copy of the DVD.
