cigarette lighter

my cigarette lighter no longer works on my kia pacanto. it heats up a little bit but not enough,any ideas ? as need it to charge sat nav !!!

errr, why do you need your cigarette lighter to actually work as a lighter to charge your sat nav.

that sounds like the plug in bit has had it, but it should still be supplying 12v to anything else that's plugged in

As chuck says it should still work your sat/nav.

As the lighter heats up the clips that hold it in heat up they then slowley release the lighter, they won't heat up when charging your sat/nav.

You can bend the clips slightly to make the cig lighter heat up but you will blow the fuse unless you remove it.
