wireless systems - which one suitable for a house?

I want to set up a wireless system at home for my PC and laptop but am worried about others being able access our system from surrounding flats and houses. Should I get a G+ (I have a two up two down property) or do I need more roaming such as G+ mimo? Any advice welcome.

If you buy a wi fi router it will have the capability to add security.

WEP is the lowest level of security but can be easily broken in to.

Try to go for WPA or WPA2 if your laptop wi fi supports it. WPA2 is the best.

To use WPA or WPA2 security both the router AND the laptop have to support it.

Your laptop may only suport WPA (and not WPA2) and if so you will have to use that.

If it is an old laptop it may only support WEP.
