Why Britain again? Why an European country anyway? Africa has enough troops of it's own.
We will most likely have to take in many asylum seekers once again from this warring continent.
"Britain is currently the so-called standby country which would indeed need to contribute.
When did we take up this position?
Why not go the whole hog and colonise Africa once again?

They have failed fantastically at this - as a result the wholesale murder, rape and torture of thousands has gone on unhindered.
You ask why Britain? It isn't just Britain. In fact there have been troops from many countries trying to hold the peace there for months, but they are outnumbered. The people in Congo are running for their lives. They're not animals - they are sons, daughters, mothers and fathers. They are farmers, factory workers, housewives, shopkeepers, etc etc. No-one has asked the EU to take refugees by the way.
You might need to ask yourself why you feel the person seeking safety is beneath your contempt - ar are you happy to let the Mail make your opinion for you?

Whickerman, Oneeyedvic & Steve.5 I don't know how old you three are but if you are of military call up age, then I don't suppose you would mind in the least being called up and sent out to the Congo?
That is of course if the need came to reintroduce National Service because we haven't enough troops at the moment to police the world?
