Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can someone tell me what has happened to the arithmatic?
In the "Beginner" you are asked to mentally find the square root of 115 and
in the "Intermediate" you are asked to find the square root of 303!!
Where am I going wrong?

Beginner - 45/3 = 15, 15+66 = 81, 81*2 = 162, 162 - 113 = 49 and it is 49 one is asked to take the square root of.

Intermediate - 3/7 of 91 = 39, 39 *4 = 156, 156/3 = 52, 52 + 144 = 196 and it is 196 one is asked to take the square root of.

Harrytabby asked where he was going wrong, Catron. He did not ask to have the sums done for him. Pots and kettles spring to mind.

You really are something else, Aquagility. Pray how tell how I could tell harrytabby where they were going wrong in another way? This is not the full sum anyway! Utter fool you are!

I think you are reading the "divide by" signs as "plus"

eg 45+3=48+66=114*2=228-113=115

Thank you Catron and Aqugility. However, it saddens me that the response by Aquagility did not reflect the usual good nature of the contributors to this website.
As for Catron, who spelled out the details of the solution, may I thank you for your help especially as my 84-year-old eyesight is failing and I misread the "divide" sign for a "plus" sign. You highlighted this which I confirmed using a magnifying glass! Ta muchly.
