hello there i hope someone can help...i dont think this is anything to worry about but i was just after a bit of friendly advice.
i have two rabbits winston and clementina who live in their big house in the garage with a run...
I adopted Clemntina from the RSPCA about 3-4 months ago and they got on straight away...perfect in fact and they are always cleaning each other and snuggling up like best friends.
Now recently ive noticed that whenever i pick Winston up he seems to be making weird noises which i have never heard before. It kind of sounds like hes breathing heavily but then sometimes its like he is wheezing and i just wanted to see if anyone else with a rabbit/rabbits have ever witnessed this...he is totally in him eats loads runs around and clementina is ok too??
Is it a bit like a buzzing noise? Sort of zzzzzzz zzzzzzz, if it is it is a sign of affection apparently. I had a rabbit when I was younger and he used to 'buzz' when he saw us or we cuddled him, we asked the vet about it and he said it is a noise rabbits make to each other, so we were very lucky to have a rabbit that loved us so much. Not sure how true this is but I like to think it is even now ;-)
I didn't know that about rabbits cris r, x31tna you should get Winston checked out just in case then, hope it is the love buzz though. (thats what I used call it as a teenager!)
