pdf printing problems

Hi. I have problems printing color PDFs , created from an Indesign (CS) document. The original PDFS were about 20 MB in size, and thinking this might be the problem, i re-converted them in Indesign and chose 'e-book' -they are now around 5 mb but still won't print. I have printed other larger PDFS on the same printer with no problems.The printer monitor just hangs! Has anyone had similar experiences and perhaps might have some pointers? thanks.

What is the document you are tring to print? i am not sure of the option 'e-book' i only ever use export as high quality print. On the pdf, is it one item or have you saved a couple on one pdf?
