If you go into a Tapas bar could you ask for the recipe for the spicy pork stew they normally have.(Obv they heat it up)
I have scoured the net for it but cant find it.although I have had it in several Tapas bars.It will vary slightly with each bar.

Have posted in F & D as well altho Leg and Net are on site so to speak.

Thanks both if you can help

(Sorry Dris)
Smorgesboard is much better, loads to choose from.
Hello to my friend Dris in Escotia.
Course I would win - um no idea actually re the recipe, is it a tapa and is it red spicy sausages?
Neti only eats M&S ready meals sent out by the Biddy Benevolent Association, so she's unlikely to know.
Dris i think youll find that it may be actually different by the area of spain.
the type of pork used and sopices will probably vary.
the food in tenerife is mainly fish or tortilla or they use a lot of rabbit and some pork , though i doubt they use a hard and fast recipe.
youd be better asking in the particular tapas bar you were at .

Hope that helps though if not then i will try and find a spicy pork stew .
though it wont be the same im afraid

DTH?
Heyy ya Dris ... how are ya babes?

Firstly -thanks Ethel -that looks very like it without the pastry -that combined with Lotties I reckon would be almost perfect -thanks Lottie as well.Looks like I could be cooking with gas !!!!!!!!!!!!
Leg -think you could be right -will get the recipe when im over at Xmas but need this one for a week on Saturday so reckon both combined would be about right.Yeah there does seem to regional variations.
Net -its not the recipe with the Chorizo-although I suppose I could bung that in if push came to shove Ta x

The rest of you -hellooooo -had a good laugh at your posts think net would win hands down as well at hand bags at dawn :)

Sven -I was almost Nordic at the weekend so now I can appreciate your way of life -I feel we can become soulmates now xxxxxx

JJ -hi hun -ive been knacked with everything so havent been on -have you been keeping the boys entertained without my back-up (which grant it amounts to PMSL at you but hey -I give good support x)
Have to say that the spanish wouldn't use the ingredients in Ethel's recipe, would be peppers, onions , tomatoes ,and garlic basically - right leg?
Question Author
Hi Net -the one I had didnt have raisins -think thats why a combo of the 2 would hopefully make a similar flavour.
Think I should have a practice run on the sauce this weekend -lol
I'll let you know -the one I had didnt seem to have 'bits' in it -was pork in a thick spicy tomatoey sauce-absolutely delish.
It's the tomatoey sauce that makes it, use 2 or 3 corms of garlic, crushed toms, teasp of sugar, fried soft onions and laurel (bay) leaves and red peppers piquillo(are the best) they come in jars, and of course olive oil, the greener the better. Cook it all up and then. roughly liquidise it + season to taste, the spanish use lots of salt! If you must have pork this should be cooked in with the onions and all the rest. Sauce should be thickish and coat the meat.
Oh and jno don't let the ABers think I always have M&S food! it's only whilst the credit crunch is on, it's usually a hamper from Fortum's!!
