Try one of the James Wellbeloved complete dog foods. It's worked a treat on one of my lurchers (who still manages to look as though starvation is on the cards but really isn't!). It's not cheap but well worth the money if you really are worried. I usually add a bit of cold gravy and sometimes a small pouch of dog food. It's also good stuff if your dog has any sort of delicate digestion.

Because you've only just got your dog, I would make sure she's healthy esp. making sure that she's been wormed or make sure you get her wormed yourself. If you can find out what the previous owners fed her, it would help as changing diets quickly can really upset their stomachs and this will encourage her not to eat. If she's ill and reluctant to eat, something bland like boiled white rice with chicken is great, I haven't met a dog that'll turn it down! Good luck.
