I think I've got them, but would like some help deciphering answers please.

14dn I've got 'last resort' but don't understand how it fits in with the shoemaker bit of the clue ("Shoemaker's eventual destination")

23dn I've got 'espy', as means to 'catch sight of', but don't understand why it's also "shapely Hal leaving disguised"

Lastly, I have 'eye candy' for 25ac, but what does this have to do with a flower losing tuft?
