jake -that was a rant I couldnt better and thats saying something.

The Royal british Legion look after all victime of all conflicts -I personally mentioned Flanders as the origination od the poppy.

it would be such a shme if people were deluded into thinking that its all to do with WW11 -its more than that.

They help families in the initial stages of their loss -they help to rehabilate our personnel.

This has really nothing to do with war and peace -its the fall out.

Of course we would all love peace but its significant that we set one day aside to remember those who have fallen -and give to enable the families and surviving victims lead an easier life.

I was under the impression that Remembrance Sunday was to remember, and be grateful to, ALL people who died in ALL wars, not just WW1 and WW11. But perhaps I am wrong..............

I never wear poppies, or wristbands, armbands or whatever. It's like holding up a big sign saying 'I'm generous, I give money to charity'. I am perfectly capable of remembering the dead without decoration.

one to say that you are grateful for the sacrifices that have been made and are been made in the hope of freedom

and one to say we hope that mankind can one day unite in the interest of peace no matter what your race colour or creed !
