Then another scart lead from the DVD recorder to the TV.
So the Sky signal is going from the Sky box to the DVD recorder, then the DVD recorder to the TV.
Then you need to switch the DVD recorder "channel" so it is picking up what is coming in on the Scart lead from the Sky box.
As Ethel says, this is often something like AV1 or AV2 or EXT1 or EXT 2 depending on your DVD recorder.
If this is set up and working correctly then you should be able to press "play" on your Sky box for the program you have recorded and it should go through the DVD recorder and on to your TV.
Once you have proved it all works (and the program appears on yout TV) you KNOW it is going through your DVD recorder.
Then put a blank DVD in the drive, press play on the Sky box and Record on the DVD recorder.

Note that the booklet that came with your Sky box, and the booklet that came with your DVD recorder should explain how to set it all up.
(mind you having said all that, the booklet that came with my Panasonic DVD recorder was SO complex and SO badly written that I could not follow it - and I am very technical).
