Yep bananas, brilliant convenience food.
If you eat total complex carbohydrates instead of refined starches & sugars your body works best. It will have more work to do to metabolise these (oats, wholemeal grains -flour/pasta, brown rice, barley, quinoa, lentils, vegetables, & fruit) into usable energy.
So..... You will be having more natural, whole foods that give you a wide range of small quantities of minerals & vitamins (subtle combinations of these help the body to absorb nutrition) - Your body systems will all perk up to work together to metabolise the food energy.
You will also be having more natural NSP (fibre) to help your body ret rid of waste so you will have more vitality. Fruit also gives water to cleanse the body.
It will take a couple of weeks of cutting down salt & processed flavourings to get your taste buds desensitised & used to fresher flavours. You're worth it though.
