What should I send my soldier friend in Afghan??

I am just getting a parcel ready to send to my friend who is currently on a tour in Afghan he has been out there a week already and I have promised to write to him on a regular basis.
But what should I send him? We have been very good friends for 10 years and I know i cant send him booze or porn but what does a soldier need? I just cant imagine how he is feeling right now and I want to send him useful things as he has nothing over there.
Any suggestions greatly recieved we need to keep supporting our boys and girls out there.

after chatting to my mates,if you want for him to back safe id think he'd be more grateful to recieve decent boots,proper army fatigues,appropriate bullet proof vest and weapons that actually work!

Yeh perhaps so, but it's a bit difficult fitting all that in a shoe box.

That is true puss but I am doing my best to get a decent ammount in. Its good because I dont have to pay postage out to afghan I just pay to post it to a base in London then they put it on the planes out there so I can send quite a bit without it costing the world. I am going to pop in a picture of my baby he has not seen her since he took me to hospital so she could have some surgery and she is doing well and he adores her so I think he would appreciate that.
