Problems with hotmail

For some reason I can't open my hotmail account on my computer. I'm on windows 98. when i type in the address it comes up with the sign-in page OK and once i fill in my user name and password it says its found the webpage and is opening it.

the page then goes blank and it still says its downloading from the page but it takes forever and nothing seems to happen.

it just seems to be on my computer as when i log on from different computers, i can access my account ok.

this never used to happen and i've tried runing a virus check but it's not found anything. it just seems to be hotmail its happening on.

any help would be apreciated. thanks in advance.

I cant really help you with your problem but just to let you know that you are not alone. Mine did the exact same thing yesterday.

I had this problem the other week and it was a security issue.  Basically I had installed AVG antivirus and it was stopping me accessing any website where I had to log in.  I got a blank screen, like you.

Removing AVG sorted it for me but apparently it was something to do with the levels the security settings were at.

cheers sammy, i'll give that a try. i've got avg so that might be the problem. although i think i was able to access it before when i had avg.
