Is there any way you can check to see if the car you sold to a scrap dealer actually has been scrapped?

you should have filled the logbook in (v5) to say it was being scrapped..You should always fill it in yourself never rely on the other person..

Thank you for your answers - the log book was filled in when the vehicle was sold.
with the vehicle declared scrap on the V5 if the scrap dealer tried to repair or sell on it would flag up and DVLA would be in touch with you.
