can anyone give me the definitive recipe for a margherita cocktail. i have six different recipes and none of them taste as nice as the one i had in brum recently.

I had this same problem with a Singapore Gin Sling, so went back to the bar where I'd had it and they had all the ingredients on the menu.

I'm sure margherita's are made with tequila, lime juice and cointreau or triple sec.  You adjust the 3 ingredients to suit your taste but i think the classic mix is 3 tequila, 2 lime and 1 cointreau or triple sec.  Oh yeah and even though it's a pain freshly squeezed lime is far superior to bottled. 

For frozen margheritas just bung the mix in the freezer - the alcohol prevents it from freezing entirely so you're left with a very tasty slush.
