The one that was given to me was at my best mates dads funeral (he was like a surrogate father). They played the duet from the pearl fishers as they were bringing the coffin in...it still brings a lump to my throat!

i remember when i was about 8 i or 9 i was obsessed with the film, watched it constantly and wrote out all the song words and was forever singing them and my parents used to tease me by saying i fancied captain von trappe lol
sorry back to the question
my dad was an elvis fan and that is why he is now my all time favourite singer ever.
and on that same note i am now trying to pass that onto my son by him hearing me play it and i even managed to sneak an elvis song onto his mps player whilst loading music onto it .

My mother raised me on classical as well as Jim Reeves, Jonny Cash, Marti Robins and many more. And I still love them all.
But at 45 my music tastes range from Drum and Base, Marylin Manson, Green Day, The Levellers, anything 70's and 80's, Blues, Blue Grass, and yes I love The Sound Of Music to, in fact I love loads of musicals.
But the one that seems to have passed on to my own children more than any other is Jonny Cash.
