i had the worst ever nightmare last night that i was bowling with my bf and my 2 yr old son.

my son went missing i searched everywhere 4 him and found him being raped in a disabled toilet it was so real i then killed the man who had done it and recoil phoning my mum and telling her and comforting my son who kept say why didn't you help me mummy why mummy why . it was so vivid and felt like i was there i woke up screaming and crying and couldn't go back to sleep.

any1 know why i would have a dream like that and what the hell it means

I didn't read the question properly first time and thought you were recounting an actual event and my heart genuinely skipped a beat!!

we often have nightmares about our worst fears, although it's not nice to have them it shows that you are really worried and protective about your son.

Not a nice one to have though.

Ahh, what a horrible dream oldgrape, probably to do with the recent story of baby P, It sickens me to read it and does make you think about your own children and what ifs!!! Probably to do with that and it was playing on your mind, just brought out the good mother in you and makes you want to protect your own son from the evil world x

Wow! Poor thing, it must have been horrible!

Don't worry about it though, it means nothing! Don't start thinking it might happen or anything.
Maybe you're worried about your son at the minute, or you think you might have failed him in some small way, or maybe there is a man in your life whom you are afraid of? So your mind just came up with the worst possible scenario, but that doesn't mean it's got ANY basis in reality. Poor thing though, it's awful when such dreams happen, they do feel so real! :O(

Because you love your son & are naturally protective of him. You are aware there are sick people out there & that scenario is your worst 'nightmare' so to speak. May be you heard something on the news that has sub consciously stayed in your memory? xxx

thanks all i've been having flash backs all day and so worried that it's one of those dreams that have prosepic (can't spell the word) meaning

my son run off in the co-op today only down an aisle and i wept and then he got a right telling off it was just so real.

Dont read anything into dreams,when you sleep,all that you have seen and heard in your lifetime can be recalled in your subconciouse,and get muddled together,sometimes things youve heared and seen get mixed up and are remembered when you wake .Memory storage is infinite and your dream could be sparked by seeing bad things in the news,and your mind sees the worst thing that you could imagine,this is a painfull dream ,but all it shows is the love you have for your child,and the realisation that bad things happen,this is what keeps you protecting your loved ones,it could be a memory jogger to show,you have to be dilligent in this day and age .But dont read anything into it,i am sure your child will be safe.
