I have a 100% polyester football shirt and I would like to remove the sponsors logo which appears to be iron-on plastic film.
Does anyone know if this is possible, if so, how?
It is too well stuck to peel it off so I would think a chemical / dissolving solution would be the best option

Ask your local dry-cleaner for his opinion. Acetone is what he uses to "dry" clean clothes.
Some solvents could dissolve the shirt, so proceed with caution with anything like Xylene, Tolulene, Lacquer Thinner, Gasoline or other "hot" solvents.
Have you ever put lighter fluid on a cigarette filter?
