seat belt warning alarm skoda superb

can i disable the seat belt warning alarm on my 2007 skoda superb elegance. I am a taxi driver and dont have to wear a seat belt and the alarm is getting a bit anoying. i only want to disable the drivers seat rather than all of them if possible

If you are in anaccident & the worse happens your Insurance will be on your case as quick as you can start your car up, What if you are sick & someone else drives the car 7 finds the seat belt alarm has been disconnected? as regards you dont have to wear one I think you have got this wrong.

Thanks for the reply. This is my car no one else drives it. As for wearing the seat belt , it is a bye law in my taxi licience council that i am not required by law to wear one. I know i really should and thanks for your concern.

TWR, he is not required to wear a seatbelt.

A lot taxi drivers plug the belt in and sit on it. You can get it disabled but I don't know if a dealer will do it for you.

Take it from me.As a taxi driver you are exempt from wearing a seat belt only when you have passengers in your car for your safety against attacks.you have to wear your seat belt at all other times,just like anyone else.if you dont wear it you will get done.

Ah I see. Different for licenced taxi and private hire.

Exemptions:

(g) the driver of�

(i) a licensed taxi while it is being used for seeking hire, or answering a call for hire, or carrying a passenger for hire, or

(ii) a private hire vehicle while it is being used to carry a passenger for hire;
