Title and Artist Please

I remember a song being played on Radio 2 quite a lot about a year ago (doesn't mean it was new though).  It was a man singing, about a girl I think. It was quite a slow song with a guitar as the main instrument.  The only line I can remember is "meet a lot of [something] people there".  I think the line before or after this ended with "hair" but I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like "Sanfransisco (be sure to wear some flowers in your hair)" by Scott McKenzie, No.1 in 1967.

it might be that harrys bar song...that was championed by radio 2 in the uk at christmas about two years ago.

No.  They aren't it I'm afraid.  The line I remember may have been "see a lot of nice people there" something like that anyway, it wasn't part of the chorus either.  The song sounded quite modern as the production was crisp.  Thanks anyway though.

That's not it honestly.  I thought it was a bit of a long shot as I remember so little about the song.  It's a pity really because I liked it a lot, I just hope they play it again sometime.
