Going on a trip soon and will have a weekend in Vancouver.
What are the absolute MUST see and do things please?

I am very jealous of your visit. Vancouver is a great city with spectacular views and friendly people.

Not sure when you are going, so the weather may have an affect on where you should go. Here are a few things i'd suggest:

Talk a walk (or roller blade) around Stanley Park and the harbour

Chill out with a coffee and watch the cruise liners on Canada Place

Take in the atmosphere on Granville, Robson and Davie St. and in Gastown

If you are there when the sky is clear, go up Grouse Mountain - you can see for miles

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is reasonably fun, if very touristy.

The market at Granville Island has some great cakes!

Depending on your finances, you could fly to Victoria, Vancouver Island on the sea plane

Take in the city from The Harbour Centre and have a great slice of pizza at the bottom for only 50p.

Am so envious of your trip! Agree with everything challam said.

The museum in Victoria (Vancouver Island) is excellent, and definitely worth a visit.
