The X Factor and Laura White

After watching the X Factor last night and listening again about Laura White, I phoned a friend of mine who told me that someone in Laura's family had won the lottery sometime ago and had bought her her own recording studio where she can make her own records. I seem to be the only one who was glad to see her voted off and if this is true about her making her own records, I'm even more pleased she was voted off.
Anyone else heard this?

Regardless of the 'lottery' story - which will be all over the media if it's true -

Laura was not the worst singer on that night, and she didn;t deserve to be voted off. If you don't like her, fine, but as a competitor, she has had a raw deal.

Wasn't able to find out if Laura White does have her own recording studio but she actually has her own biography from which I copied this info below in which she says she is in the process of recording her album, so I still can't see why she needed to win the X Factor.Judging by the times she says I am,I have,I also am,my album,my own,my heart,it is me,I am Laura White in this short caption, I would also like to add that perhaps Ms White is a little too fond of herself.

her sisters best mate works in the same store as me and she has seemingly failed totally to tell anyone about a lottery win lol

I'm not saying it's a true story dot, but why would her sisters mate know about a lottery win that was about 13 yrs ago?
Anyway, Laura seems to have a huge fan base so someone must like her but I would agree with robknot and say she is totally overrated, and I think totally bigheaded.

the point for heavens sake woman is to win a�1.000.000 contract with sony bmg records which is the prize and for a while a lot of fame and leona lewis has a cd out on sale which her family paid to to made in a studio before she won,do you think that all contestants should come on x factor with no backgrounds at all .

P.S. Meant to say in my first post that I think Laura has a good voice & hope she gets on well in her singing career.

Frankly, if those last 12 were the best they could find out of the original 10,000's, it just shows that the whole thing is a total farce.

That's why the winners (with a few notable exceptions) just fade into obscurity.

Wow I've stirred up a hornets nest here haven't I?
Who do I like in the girls?Best singer is probably Alexander, (not sure if I've spelt it right) Ruth, and Diane's quirkiness. Rachel has a strong voice but I think she is limited in the type of song that suits her voice.
I think Alexander could sing any type of song and would like to see her win, but who knows?
Sorry to keep going on about Laura but I still think she wasn't good enough to win.

hi missprim--- just a line to say that I too think that alexandra is the winner here. She is the best of whats left in x factor. i hope they chuck Rachel out next.
