Hi Stuart
The simple answer is hard work!
As you get older the recovery time for muscle takes longer (This is the time when you muscles tear and repair to add gain) With you being in your 60's you will feel the pain for longer and find it harder to gain muscle.
But, any exerise is good and you will certainly see an improvement. If you are serious about wanting the gain then you need to put in serious time into doing that.
You have 4 months, this should give you enough time to make a difference.
The only supplements I'd advise is multi vitamins and a protein drink.
Good Luck!

How much Protein drink should I take and is that a supplement in between meals or with meals and should I take before or after a work out.

thanks.

Stuart
This is a really grey area as so many people will give you different advise. I will just say what I do.
I take one drink before a workout, one an hour after and then one before I go to bed as this is when the body repairs itself.
