I'm pretty sure 4 is Nether Crimond in Aberdeenshire but it doesn't exactly fit the clue. Crimond is the tune composed by Jessie Seymour Irvine (The Lord's My Shepherd) - quite a coincidence her name is also a place name!!

Hi Harry

I was thinking it may be Nether Compton from Blaise compton who wrote a few hymns!

Cheers

emsdad - yes, compton makes more sense than crimond - ie it fits the definition of the clue!!
