For me it has to be frontline which is put on the dogs neck with a pippette,if you have flea larvae in your house you will have to purchase a special spray, think that you can purchase these products cheaper online than going to the vets!!!
Yeh definetly frontline, its a god send.
Then just buy a house spray, or give your council a ring to see if they'll come spray the house for free.
I too believe Frontline to be the best. A quick steam of the carpet/dogs bed would kill any eggs.
Good Luck
Most definitely frontline, and Advantage, or Indorex for the house. Some think the spray works better than the spot on, but the spray is only available on prescription from the vet.

like previous answers. Frontline is definitally the simplest solution and half the price on line, just Google buy frontline UK, also applies to droncit spot on for worms
I use the spray because I have two dogs and they groom each other. The pipette instructions say don't allow this but the spray is alcohol based and dries quickly so no prob, also we have more of an issue with ticks than fleas and you can put a drip of spray directly on a tick to kill it. To treat the house we use RIP from Genitrix. The only time we've really needed to was when I brought fleas home, not one or two but thousands (don't ask lol) and it did the biz with one treatment
