I'm constantly getting requests to join groups such as 'Baby P's torturers - named and shamed', 'Stop Bear Baiting', 'We want answers for Baby P', etc.
There are obviously disgusting things going on in the world and I was as saddened and sickened as everyone else about what happened to that poor baby, but what do these groups actually achieve?

they dont acheive anything, but some people feel that they want to be doing something.

I havnt accepted any of the invitations like that.
These are the same folk that would attack a paediatricians house for looking at kids

or anyone with the same name

slightly unbalanced and looking for somewhere to vent their anger

The crime is terrible

but these folk are just slightly unbalanced.
The people are in custody and will be jailed and will suffer

Facebook seems to be a magnet to these sort of groups .
i have not joined any of them groups .have joined another great group chatterbank thats good .
these facebook groups are just a bit bizarre. I recently had an 'invite' to join the Barclays slide. What the hell was that all about? It sounded so boring I didn't even bother looking into it.

I'm sure the ones who start these petitions mean well, but I don't think they actually achieve anything at all.
oooh Id love to go on the Barclays slide, but wont be joining the facebook group lol
i love that Barclay's advert ..i want a go on that slide .

Glad there are others who feel the same way. I was starting to wonder if it was me just being insensitive. It's not that I don't care, because I deeply do. Facebook groups are getting a bit ridiculous now though x
