My partner is asking me to remove my name from the deed to our house. Am I not entitled to a 50/50 split even though we are not married?
The property was purchased approx. 3.5 yrs ago, with the intent we would be together. He put a large down payment on the property, and pays the mortgage but I have shared in other areas, eg: utilities, minor home improvements, groceries, etc.
We live in a non-common law state, but we pretty much live as a married couple....which includes health, car and homeowners insurance.
I am concerned that he can just tell me to leave after my name is removed from this legal document.
What are my legal rights??

i would definitely get legal advice but if your name is on the document, you have the same rights as he does i would think?
Definitely.

With your name on the deeds you are indeed a legal owner with rights
Are you in the US by the way?
