Asian Supermarket, Medway

Hi, anyone know where I can find an Asian supermarket in the Medway, Kent area? Or somewhere I can buy asafoetida?

I'm pretty sure there's one near Luton Arches not far from Maplins. Don't know if they sell asafoetida, though. I'd be surprise if there weren't a lot more - there's a large asian community here.

asafoetida (aka hing or ing) is not an essential ingredient - if too much is used, it can turn the food bitter.
It's derived from a root and made into a block which is then sold as a powder. (Angustura bitters comes to mind)
