Hi does anyone know who sings the latest KFC ad.  Its a old song sung by a woman.  You see a mop bucket being emptied and then it hits the window, then through the window the cameras zoom into a family sitting down eating out of a family sized KFC bucket. The lyrics start something like this

WHY DOES MY HEART KEEP ON ?

DON'T SAY NO ITS THE END OF THE WORLD.

not sure if the lyrics are right, its an old love song.

I assumed it was Skeeter Davis, not heard of Nina Gordon

Yep, you're probably right, it probably is Skeeter Davis.

The late Skeeter Davis, she died shortly after this ad started being shown.

If you want a great version of it , there's one by epose.
It's on their greatest hits album, #11. Like you I tried searching for it. In my opinion it's the best version of the song.
