Some of my answers are blocked even though accurate + some posts not even posted?!

Not sure why some of my posts are deleted or not even posted as have always been helpful, most of the time accurate + have often explained answers or provided links and have always been polite. Can someone shed light on this for me , please?!

Are you answering questions from one of the topic screens, or from the "Unanswered questions" section on the home page?
The latter seems extremely flaky, and sometimes the questions themselves disappear, sometimes it seems to be the links to the questions. I have had trouble here, but not when answering from the topic screens or the "Recent posts" section.
By the way, I think it is incompetence, not censorship!!

Hi BigDave44- Actually, answered from the front page + my answer- the first to answer this question- did show up along with the helpful link that put under the answer. It was there yesterday for everyone to see as noticed it myself, for sure. However, just wanted to see if had a word of thanks as always thank fellow puzzlers myself when have an answer to a question- only to see it had disappeared! Miffed about this big time as was really happy that I was the first person to answer this particular question. Thanks for your reply- maybe it is incompetence instead of censorship, yet, even so it is not fair + have contacted this site editor so hoping for a response soon.

Hallo Bea. Don't wait too confidently for a reply. I've had a similar problem . On one occasion I sent a posting at 13.47. Someone else sent one at 14.16 that was acknowledged. Mine appeared goodness knows how long afterwards, slotted in above the 14.16 one. Some times, they don't appear at all. I sent a message to Technical asking why my postings weren't going through, but no answer, Ditto when I sent it to the Editor. I then tried asking on the website whether anyone was experiencing delays with postings, and find that it has been banned. So congratulations on getting your published. I hope you manage to get some sense out of somebody.

Hello Bea,
Re my first message, when I said my postings were not showing from approx 12.30ish yesterday. I'm pleased to tell you that this was corrected at 10.50pm last night.
Seeing that others besides us are experiencing the same problem, I really don't think anyone is being got at, it's likely just to be a gremlin in the system, while the site is being updated. I think the Ed said something about the site being on self-support with only basic features while being updated. I think it was on the Ed's recent blog. Thanks for your reply. You are the first person to ask what my name means, it is actually Austrian - Schutz means Guardian, and as you say Engel means Angel - therefore the two together are Guardian Angel. (i) Created that symbol, a few years ago, as it occured to me how an i in a bracket or a Spanish upside down exclammation mark in a bracket looked like an angel/engel- everyone seems to love it, too! Ciao for now, Bea ;-)

Just checked the Editor's Blog, (1st Item), and that is where he says the site is likely to slow down, due to the technical support people working on updating the site. Hope this offers an explanation to the other people who posted answers about the problem. It looks like patience will be it's own reward. A smiley angel to everyone. :-) (i). from Schutz.
