Hi all, I'm trying to arrange a surprise for a 30th anniversary. I'd started to arrange a surprise party, but have since heard from a friend that they (my in laws) are thinking of going away around that time.

Does anyone have any ideas of something else we could do to surprise them? I half thought of an 'experience' of some kind, but don't know anyone who's ever been on one to tell me if they're worth the money.

Any suggestions welcome (they are around 50, but young iykwim)

Thanks

if they are goiung away and you have a key to their house you could do a room make over for their return?

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think they'd appreciate that though, to be honest.
ok what about traceing a long lost friend relative they have not seen for ages and arrange a surprise visit?
Could you put together a scrap book of their years together, a mixture of photo's, handwritten notes with anecdotes from close friends and family etc. and maybe at the end have a couple of tickets for a day trip on the UK Orient Express (or anything else that might suit your budget?) followed by empty pages for them to fill in their future memories?
