can anyone tell me if there is a mini laptop available (around 9") that has a disc drive?

if you mean a floppy disk drive then highly unlikely

Not many full sized systems come with floppys these days.

you can get USB floppy disk drives.

However I really would suggest that you stop using floppy disks and start using USB memory sticks instead, they are far quicker and far far more reliable!

or if you mean a hard disk drive then MSI do one that is only a little larger the the eee pc that has an 80gb drive (think it can be speced with a larger one)

I think they mean CD drive...

I believe Sony make some smaller laptops with CD drives. Most of the 'netbook' manufacturers don't include CD drives though, simply because there isn't room. You can easily add a USB CD drive though.
