zanussi washing machine

my washing machine has just died and thinking of buying a Zanussi any good or bad feedback please

I had a Zanussi for 4 years and I loved it,. only trouble was it caught fire underneath and I didn't know (luckily I have an outside laundry room) and it just wouldn't work one day and then we found out why. Bought an Indesit, but next time I'll have another Zanussi!!!

Zanussi are generally a mid range machine, better then the cheapo Hotpoint, indesit, creda Etc, but not as good as miele or NEF (but do not get a combined washer/dryer though!)

They should give you several years of trouble free service if you don't overload them, most Zanussis have a flap in the bottom corner on the front that has a removable filter for the pump, make sure you remove and clean the filter every few months (some water will come out when you remove it!)

Our 16 year old Zanussi gave up the ghost on Saturday. It seemed very reliable, so have ordered another which arrives tomorrow. We'll have to wait and see if it lasts as long.

what model have you ordered?

I think I will go for a Zanussi despite the unfortunate fire incident and cross my fingers it was a one off!!
