Daft things that make you shout at soaps
23 Answers
Ok I know a lot of people come on here saying why and how could this happen in a soap and someone always comes on and says it's not real life, well it should be!! I could not believe Eastenders last night when Max lay in his bed and said 'nah nah, Tan wouldn't do that to me, I couldn't have pushed her that far could I' Hello!!!! No course not she only tried burying you alive a while back she's not like that, leave you for dead oh no she couldn't, leav you alive for dead maybe!' and Dev on Corrie when he turned the blender on, who puts there head in the blender like that!!! I would have liked if he'd put it in just that little bit further!! Anyway that's my rant needed to be done. Erm so question is, what storyline or person is just so unbelievable its not real (tee hee)

Entire life-changing situations just happen with no apparent administration or anything. If a journalist wants to become a nurse - bang! It happens. It doesn't especially bother me, in fact it makes me chuckle and it is a very soapy thing.
I long since stopped watching Eastenders for some of the reasons already given but it did used to make me laugh when YET ANOTHER long-lost relative, some previously unheard-of Mitchell or whatever, rolled up in a taxi, got out and looked around at the Square. Thye'd never once been mentioned - yet everyone knew who they were as soon as they saw them.
I also used to love the "morning establishing shots" - postman walks past, person in nightgown opens front door, yawns and picks up milk bottle.
