Getting pregnant at 40.
For various reasons we had to delay trying for a 2nd child. Now, after trying for more than a year, the doc has agreed to some tests. We started trying just after my 39th birthday and now 14 months later I am feeling really dejected about it. My blood tests showed no initial problems. We fell straight away with our first. Can anyone offer me some hope, that it can take this long? I feel so blessed to have had one child, especially now, but desperately want him to have a brother or sister.

I get a lot of pain, and always know which ovary my egg is coming from. I also get other aymptoms 2 or 3 days before I get the egg pain too. I have always been proved right, my cycle is 28 days long but the odd occasion it has been longer I have always known beforehand as I have ovulated later than usual too.
