I've heard that the Nazis often left symbols planted in forests. Is this true and are there any left?

Yes, the Nazis planted trees in groupings so that from the air they looked like Swastikas. There is still one example of this left in the town of Zernikow, 60 miles outside of Berlin. They were forgotten about until Reuters published an aerial photo of the area. The trees are now to be felled. It is a racist symbol and under German law, these must be destroyed as soon as they are found.
