what are the benefits of having a back boiler, i have a baxi bermuda in the house i have just bought, should i keep it or go for a combi? anybody know how much this would be?
We've had a Baxi back boiler in for 20 years. Probably not as efficient as newer combis, but while its going it stays! No problems, apart from the 'woof' when lighting up and 'tick, tick, tick' when cooling down. Soon got used to it and never notice it............ .........until now!!
for a good quality combi your looking at around 2000
if the back boilers working then i'd stick with it, they are very reliable and long lasting. the main advantage of them is they are hidden away rather than hanging on a wall somewhere, the disadvantage is you have to have a hot water cylinder and tanks
