Chambers gives the main heading of 'Hummus' with alternatives of 'Hoummos' & 'Houmus'

According to the tub of Tesco stuff I have in my fridge it's houmous.

they are all correct, Hummous is spelt slightly different in all mediterranean bordering countries.
For example a certian Cypriot cheese is called Halloumi in the Greek south and Helim in the Turkish north.
