I'm not sure if Whitney Houston is the holder of this achievement. Certainly not in the UK.

She used to hold this record in the USA with seven in a row between Saving All My Love For You and So Emotional. (85 - 88?). I am pretty sure Mariah carey has since overtaken this title though.
