Boxer rescue:

If you google 'boxer rescue' you may find an organisation close to where you live.
Be very, very careful who you rehome her with. I don't know whether she is spayed, but if not I would get her done before she goes to a new home - she will not then go to anyone who just wants to breed from her.
I hope all goes well. I bet you are so sad. x

Hi mirela,
I know exactly how you're feeling, I was left with no choice but to have my dog rehomed after my ex husband and I split up.
I went around the locals vet's and put signs up and also informed the dog kennels I put him in when I was on holiday so they could keep an ear open. The kennels called me a couple of weeks later and said they had someone who was interested. I met the woman and her 5 year old daughter at my house so they could see him. A few days later I went to their house to make sure it was a good size for him (and the garden) and then we agreed that she could have him for the weekend to see how he would be around her daughter and vice versa, which was all OK.
The weekend after that was the weekend that he went to her permanently. It was the most gut wrenching experience of my life (even more than the relationship breakdown) and not something I ever want to experience again.
My heart goes out to you, if you ever need to talk just mail me at [email protected]

Your vet might know of someone who will take her, who they know to be OK. Is there a contact phone number on that link I sent you? What county do you live in?
I am sure someone will take her on with her skin problem - there are some really special people about - you just have to find them.
I still think you should have her spayed to protect her.

Have you been in touch with her breeder? She may want to take her back.
Other than that I would get in touch with the breed rescue, they have much more experience than you at finding good homes for Boxer dogs. They sometimes put you in touch with the new owners directly (especially if you can keep the dog for a while) that way the dog does not have to go into kennels or a foster home. They will get her spayed before rehoming and sort out any medical problems she has.
If you don't get her spayed she could end up being used as a breeding machine for a puppy farmer, especially if you place ads. yourself. People are good at lying when they are after getting hold of a dog and are quite capable of sending their wife and children to pick up the dog, saying it is going to be a family pet - when all the time they are just wanting it to breed puppies from.
Please don't try to rehome her yourself, you obviously care what happens to her and once you have handed her over to someone you have no legal rights to her.
Breed rescue really are the best people to get in touch with.

I know several people in Boxers, let me know when you have made the decision and I will put you in touch with someone in your area who will help you find the right home for her.
It is a very hard decision to make, but you have to be realistic and do the best thing for the dog.
Please do not just advertise her locally or on the web. Boxers are a very special breed to rehome and people need to be experienced with them, or else they may not realise what they are taking on.
Keep in touch.
