noise from extractors 24 /7

i live in the west end of london and am kept awake by two extractor fans from 2 different businesses i have contacted westminster council who have told the businesses to turn them off at 11pm till 8 am but 5 out of seven nights they are left on have contacted council dozens of times for 5 months now and i just keep getting new request numbers and new names ! its driving me crazy not sleeping where can i turn to next?

Surely there must be other residents living in the same area who are suffereing the same kind of nuisance from noise. Have you ever thought of contacting them. Draw up a petition between you and present it to the local authority, requesting that they take action to eliminate the noise nuisance. I can sympathise with you - nobody should have to put up with noise which can be avoided, and if Westminster Council are failing in their duties write to your MP and complain. Keep complaining. Sooner or later someone will listen and take notice.
